A collaboration you didn’t know you needed, Burberry has chosen Star Wars actor Adam Driver as the face of its latest fragrance Burberry Hero.
Joining the likes of FKA Twigs, Kendall Jenner and Marcus Rashford as brand ambassadors, leaked footage of Driver sees him play the role of a ‘sexy centaur’. He transforms into a cloven-hoofed mythical beast as he goes for a swim on his horse in a series clips. It was a huge hit online.
The animal antics raise more questions than answers, with perplexed fans taking to social media in a forlorn attempt to rationalize what they have witnessed – with most concerned that something just doesn’t smell right about the depiction.

Chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci drafted the smart brand appointment as part of a radical overhaul of the iconic British brand after 12 years at Givenchy.

Welcoming the opportunity to get four legs up on the competition, Driver said: “I’m very happy to be working with Burberry on this campaign and with Riccardo Tisci in representing his first fragrance for the brand.”
The man and beast combination will launch shortly, whereupon the lurch into Greek mythology may begin to make some sense – or not.
