Trusting Jehovah-Jireh: My First Fruit Experience.8 min read

Recently, I cast my trust on JEHOVAH JIREH; and I was not let down. Here is how it played out.

Trusting Jehovah-Jireh My First Fruit Experience.
Trusting Jehovah-Jireh worked for me.

A First Job

I got paid on a first job from my new laptop.
That’s not the end of story — in fact it just started.

First Fruit? No not now

Then I was reminded about the blessings of First Fruit.

I battled against this new reminder in my mind.
But in no long time — i agreed to sacrifice it, as a First Fruit.

A new Bill to pay

Something happened the next day — after i had accepted to give it.
I got a notification from my Web-Hosting company, that my hosting was expiring!

The Web-Hosting billing was about the same amount, I was to give for my first fruit to JEHOVAH JIREH.
(I don’t want my Web-Hosting to expire, and have my website erased online) — It’s like burning a forest plantation.

I’m faced with two pressing options. Either to give my First Fruit, or renew my web-Hosting.
Choosing to give my First Fruit implies I risk losing my online business.
While deciding for web-hosting means — disappointing my trust in JEHOVAH JIREH.

I went to Church on Sunday: A Prophecy to me?

Going to church on that Sunday, I was able to justify things in my mind, that paying my Tithe is enough. (That’s 10%)
So that was what I did in church, that Sunday. (I paid only the tithe)

During one of the prayers in Church that Sunday, my Pastor mentioned that; someone has proposed in his/her heart to make a sacrificial giving.

I was on my seat in church, and I was like — could that be me!
Anyways, it wouldn’t be me, because I didn’t come to church with my sacrificial First Fruit — I only came with my Tithe.

A personalized warning

Something happened the next morning. It was a Monday morning.
I picked up my Tablet to arrange my schedule. And there I realized that the screen of my Tablet was already cracked.

I was like; when did this happen? — I couldn’t pin-point exactly when the crack happened.
The tablet thus became a manageable device.

Now, shifting my attention a bit away from the tablet’s broken screen.
As a “Church Boy” — it didn’t take much time, for me to relate the broken tablet’s screen — as a warning sign from my God.

I released it (Trusting Jehovah-Jireh)

With the incident on that Monday morning, I was more convinced that I had to release it. It wasn’t difficult for me to release it anymore. So I released it from my heart immediately.

On that same Monday evening, I packaged the balance into an envelope. I sealed the envelope and set it apart as my first fruit offering. (It completely left my mind, before it even left my hand.)
I only had to wait till the next church service day, before I could drop it off. (It was in cash.)

Next morning after releasing it (Trusting Jehovah-Jireh)

It was on Tuesday: the 11th. The next morning after the day I had set apart my first fruit (and completely released it from my heart.) I got an SMS on my phone from a client. It was the same client whose payment is serving as my first fruit.

On the SMS, he told me, there was one other job he needed to add. I quickly took the order and worked it.

On my own part, I was amazed. Surprised because I had just released that precious first fruit.
And now another job order came in, the next morning. It was mind blowing.
I felt awesome at the reliability of JEHOVAH JIREH.

But that wasn’t enough

insufficient photo

The cost of that added job wasn’t enough to rescue my expiring Web-Hosting.

Inspired to work my part: (Trusting Jehovah Jireh)

Again, as a “Church Boy”, I knew that: “Faith without Work is dead”.

Bible Reference: James 2:17&18

“17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

“18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

So, I knew that I had to add work to my faith. Then afterwards, I could only trust JEHOVAH JIREH to crown my efforts.

Been certain that I was not going back into that sealed envelope. I had to look inwards. I had to look for another source of income to rescue my expiring website.

One complicated, and unfinished Project

complicated photo

While looking inwards, I realized one pending job.
The job had been very complicated, and thus unfinished.

I’ve been waiting for a Post Office verification letter — from Google! (I had been waiting for exactly one month.)

Furthermore on the complications, the client had requested to pay for the project, at a later time.
And now today was the 12th of February.
It’s been exactly 30 days of waiting.

I lost hope on the post-office verification option.
So I decided to apply for an email verification option, rather than waiting for the Post.
I had never used the manual verification method.

And I had no idea of how long it would take the “busy Google” to verify this process by email!
So on that same day, I messaged the client, to request for the necessary documents. (He was quick to respond. And he sent them — almost immediately.)

I applied for the email verification

Still on that Wednesday: the 12th, I completely submitted all required documents. But I had no control over the duration of the verification process.

The giving day (Trusting Jehovah Jireh)

Now it was Thursday, a midweek church service. The day for me to lay down my sacrifice. I gave my First Fruit in Church.

And I told my Pastor, that, I was the one he was referring to on Sunday, about the intent of a sacrificial giving.
He blessed me afterwards.

I felt at peace in my mind, knowing I made a sacrifice to JEHOVAH JIREH.

Now it was a Friday — it was the next day, after I gave my First Fruit.
I got a call from the client (the verification client). He called to notify me that Google has verified his project. I was like — really!?

I was really happy, because I now have a hope of getting funds from this client.
It had taken only three days for me to submit, and got verified!

That verification speed was a miracle. It was part of the miracle that started — right after i released it from my heart.
I knew it was a miracle — so I gave thanks to JEHOVAH JIREH for the speed with which the job got verified.
(I’d seen some comments of people waiting, several months, and still hadn’t gotten theirs.)

Closing the Deal

Now I have a valid invoice to claim from the client.
So I worked again. (I was confident that my JEHOVAH JIREH had sped up things thus far. So I only had to do my own part.

So I scheduled on my calendar to do a close follow up with the client, for payment.
And now today Wednesday, to the Glory of JEHOVAH JIREH, — i got the payment.

It’s only two days before my hosting expires!
And it’s been less than seven days since I gave my first fruit.

I trusted JEHOVAH JIREH: You can too!

This was a big stretch to my Faith in JEHOVAH JIREH.
I wrote this account for two reasons:

  1. To give glory to JEHOVAH JIREH for His faithfulness
  2. Secondly — so that you: my reader, can learn to trust JEHOVAH JIREH too.

I am so grateful — so i’m saying:

Thank you, JEHOVAH JIREH.

Hallelujah
